Information Karin Sköld Nyköping

I am a Swedish artist who works primarily in soft pastels to explore the beauty of the human form. Fascinated by the process of creating a living, breathing portrait, I use soft pastels to capture the details of the subject. I have held exhibitions in both Sweden and the UK. I enjoy the challenge of taking people on a journey through the artwork. After a time in Southern Africa I was inspired by the people there.
I paint because it is then I feel most happy.

I have also worked on various assignments in illustration and graphic production. ( both print and web) Educated in graphic design.
